Friday’s Blessings and Special Quotes- Best Day of the Week

According to Ibne Kathir, Friday is called Jumu’ah because it is derived from Al jam, which means gathering. It is the most important day of the week for the Muslims because it is when they gather for congregation prayer. Before the Friday prayer, Muslims listen to a sermon including important information about Islam, Prophet, and Allah Almighty. Jummah Prayer Preparation

Before going to the mosque, every Muslim should make some preparation for the Friday prayer.

  • In the religion of Islam, cleansing is known as the half faith of Muslims. Every Muslim is required to be clean before offering prayer.
  • The first act should be to clean oneself by taking a bath and performing ablution. Put on clean clothes.
  • One of the most important things is to apply etr (fragrance) or apply surma to the eyes.
  • Sit as close to the Imam as possible if a seat in the front rows is available.

Virtues and Blessings of Friday

There are numerous advantages and virtues to jummah prayer, some of which we will discuss below:

Whoever reads Surah Kahf on Fridays, a bright light will shine for him between two Fridays, said Prophet Muhammad (SAW). So, we can conclude that the recitation of Surah Kahf on  Friday is encouraged. This surah’s recitation encourages Muslims to seek Allah’s refuge and affirm their faith in the support and assistance he provides. So we can say that it’s a Friday blessing.

According to the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), the best day in the sight of Allah Almighty is Friday, the day of the congregation.

In the hadith, Prophet Muhammad (SAW) stated, “There is no day more virtuous than Friday. There is an hour on this day when no Muslim will make dua unless his dua is accepted. He does not seek protection from anything except Allah’s protection”. 

Prophet Muhammad PBUH said about Friday khutba.

“If anyone performs wudu properly, then comes to the Friday prayer, listens to the khutba attentively, and keeps silent, his sins between the Friday and following Friday will be forgiven, with the addition of three more days; but who touches pebbles have caused an interruption.”

There are various benefits to reciting Surah Jummah. This surah should be recited as many times as possible on this day, as it enhances your rewards and forgives sins. 

“On Jummah is an hour during which Allah gives to a Muslim servant standing in prayer whatever he asks for,” the Prophet (SAW) said. These are great Friday blessings from Allah Almighty.

According to Al Bukhari,

Hell is activated as a mark of honor and respect of the day for Friday. Dying on Friday, whether during the day or at night, is a sign of a good end because the person who dies on that day will be spared the trial of the grave.

Verdict 

Friday is one of the most blessed days of the week in Islam. As a result, to observe this day properly, Muslims must ensure that he or she makes special preparations that Friday set apart from the rest of the week. Friday is a day of congregation, celebration, and supplication. May Allah grant us the opportunity to offer Friday prayer regularly to obtain all of Friday’s blessings and rewards. Ameen!
